151 House Republicans call on EPA to roll back proposed vehicle emission rule

More than 150 Republican members of the U.S. House, including five out of six GOP House members from Michigan, have urged Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Michael Regan to reverse proposed emissions standards. The Republicans argue that the standards, aimed at promoting electric vehicles, are "unworkable and impractical" and would essentially force the auto industry into complete electrification of vehicles in the name of addressing climate change. The letter was led by Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers of Washington, who chairs the House Energy and Commerce Committee.
