F-16 fighter jets shot down an unidentified object on Sunday over Lake Huron in the US near the Canadian border. The object passed over several states before being shot down east of the Upper Peninsula. It is believed to have drifted and landed in Canadian waters in the lake, and the Coast Guard is working to recover it. A representative from Michigan, John Moolenaar, has stated that " I hope that the object will be quickly recovered and identified and more information made available to the public".
