Finlandia University, to preserve Finnish-American history and heritage

Finlandia University and the non-profit Finlandia Foundation National, have announced plans to preserve the university's Finnish-American heritage and history after it closes.The Finlandia Foundation National, established in 1953 to connect and strengthen the Finnish-American community in the US, has commissioned a task force with the mission to preserve the Finnish American Heritage Center, archives, folk school, art gallery, North Wind Books store, and the monthly publication, the Finnish American Reporter. The goal of this initiative is to ensure that Finlandia University's rich history and legacy continue to be celebrated and shared for generations to come.
