Gale watch covers portion of Great Lakes

Starting Monday evening, a gale watch will be in effect for certain waters off the coast of Lake Huron in northeast Michigan due to strong winds that could produce waves up to 11 feet high. The affected area spans from just east of the Mackinac Bridge to the Presque Isle Lighthouse, and gusts up to 40 knots are possible. The gale watch is expected to remain in effect through Tuesday afternoon.
