Marshall board approves more land transfers for Ford battery project

During a contentious public meeting, the Marshall Township board voted to transfer four properties to the city to facilitate the development of a battery plant following Ford's $3.5 billion investment. The transfer is made through a 425 land transfer agreement to provide access to water and sewer infrastructure. Despite speeches opposing the project from over 20 residents, only one board member, Supervisor David Bosserd, voted against the land transfer. The vote occurred two hours into the meeting and was marred by disruptions, with one resident being arrested.
